During your Live-in Language & Cultural Exchange experience in China, you’ll become part of everyday family life, sharing your language and culture and building a meaningful connection with the children as an older sister or brother.

Chinese Language & Culture

Looking to immerse yourself in Mandarin Chinese language and culture? we offer a unique opportunity to learn Mandarin with 10-15 classes/week (45 minutes/class) and 1 Chinese Cultural Course/month during the semester. With Mandarin being spoken by almost a billion people worldwide, our program provides you with a valuable skill that can be used all over the world.

Looking for a meaningful gap year or semester abroad? Our Program offers a unique opportunity to experience China through language and cultural exchange, everyday life with a Host Family, Chinese language learning and cultural exploration.

Since 2012, Star Exchange has focused on carefully selected Host Families, thoughtful matching, cultural and daily-life orientation, and ongoing support throughout the Program.

As a Participant in our Live-in Language & Cultural Exchange Program, you can experience China not simply as a visitor, but as part of everyday family life.
