Nature of the Service
The Service provides information, coordination, and support for participation in a language and cultural exchange program in the People’s Republic of China.
The organization acts solely as a coordinator and facilitator between participants and host families. The organization does not charge participants any placement fees or deposits.The organization does not act as an employer, sponsor, or legal guarantor.
This program is a language and cultural exchange program and does not constitute employment or any labor relationship.Participants are not required to perform general household chores. But they are expected to maintain cleanliness of their private living space (e.g., bedroom)and eep shared areas tidy and return items after use. Except for the above, participants are not expected to perform cleaning, cooking, or other household duties.
The participant’s primary responsibility is to interact and engage with the child(ren), including daily communication, play, and language&cultural exchange activities. The Participant is encouraged to actively engage in daily communication and language expression to facilitate natural interaction. The Host Family provides a local language environment and cultural experience through its normal family life.
The Participant agrees to respect and follow the reasonable household rules of the Host Family, including daily routines, home safety, privacy protection, visitor arrangements, curfew, and other matters necessary for maintaining a respectful household environment.
The organization does not guarantee:
The availability of host families
The success of matching
The accuracy or completeness of information provided by host families
Any specific experience or outcome
Participants are responsible for independently evaluating opportunities and making their own decisions.
Participant Responsibility
By using the Service or participating in the program, you agree that:
You are responsible for your own decisions and actions
You will comply with applicable laws and regulations
You will comply with local customs and cultural norms
You will respect cultural differences
You understand and accept the risks of international travel and living abroad
Visa & Legal Compliance
Participants are solely responsible for obtaining and maintaining a valid visa
The organization may provide general guidance, but:
Visa approval is not guaranteed
The organization is not responsible for visa applications or outcomes
Participants acknowledge that such programs in China are not governed by a very specific legal framework
Regulations may change or be interpreted differently
The organization shall not be liable for any resulting consequences
Health Information
Providing complete, truthful, and accurate health information is a condition of participation in the application process. All applicants are required to disclose any medical conditions, ongoing treatments, or regular medications that may be relevant to long-distance international travel or living independently in China.
Participation in the program is not determined solely by the existence of a medical condition. Each application is assessed individually, taking into account the nature of the program, the applicant’s individual circumstances, and whether the program can reasonably accommodate the applicant’s needs.
Our program is a language and cultural exchange program, not a medical support program. Neither the host family nor our organization is able to provide medical supervision, emergency medical care, ongoing healthcare, or specialized medical services.
Where appropriate, we may request additional medical information or a statement from a licensed physician confirming that the applicant is medically fit for long-distance international travel and participation in the program.
We respect each applicant’s privacy and their decision regarding whether or not to disclose personal health-related information to a host family. We will not share an applicant’s personal health information with any host family without the applicant’s explicit consent.
However, where certain health-related information may be relevant to the safety, daily living arrangement, or emergency response of the participant or host family, and the applicant does not consent to sharing such necessary information, we may determine that the program cannot be safely or appropriately arranged. In such cases, we reserve the right not to proceed with the application.
Where, after careful assessment, we determine that an applicant’s medical needs or potential health-related risks cannot be reasonably accommodated within the scope of the program, we reserve the right not to proceed with the application.
Failure to disclose relevant medical information, or providing false or misleading health information, may result in the rejection of an application or, where appropriate, withdrawal from the program.
Fees
The organization does not charge participants any placement fees or deposits.
Orientation & Preparation
The Participant understands that:
– The agency provides orientation or informational materials regarding the program after the participant matches with a host family
– Such orientation is intended solely for cultural exchange and communication purposes and does not constitute job training
– Although the agency suggest the participant attend such orientation, participation in any orientation is voluntary
The Participant confirms that:
– Regardless of attending such orientation, they are responsible for understanding the program and their responsibilities
– They assume responsibility for their participation and decisions
Media Material
The Participant acknowledges and agrees that:
Any photos, videos, or other media materials created or collected during participation in the program may be used by the agency and its partners for documentation, internal use, and promotional purposes.Such materials are limited to content related to the program, including but not limited to orientation sessions, airport pick-up, and program-related activities. The agency retains ownership or usage rights of such materials. The Participant understands that: No fees have been paid to the agency, and such media usage is considered a reasonable aspect of participation in the program. All media use will be conducted in a reasonable and respectful manner and in accordance with applicable data protection laws
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the organization shall not be liable for:
Losses resulting from personal decisions
Indirect or consequential damages
Disputes between participants and host families
The organization is not liable for:
• Family conflicts
• Cultural adjustment difficulties
• Personal safety issues
Third-Party Relationships
The organization is not responsible for the actions of host families or third parties.
Any agreements between participants and host families are independent
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the People’s Republic of China.
Changes
We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time.Continued use constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
